jacket Vita
A work jacket for the garden was the inspiration for the Vita jacket. Two large bellows pockets, a spacious inside pocket and a small breast pocket can hold a lot of things that you carry around with you (scissors, notebook, string, apple...)
Vita is the perfect mix of robust and elegant: Made from 10.4 oz Japanese raw denim, it can take a lot and only gets better with time. At the same time, it has a sophisticated cut: a round shoulder yoke, raglan sleeves and a slight waistline. When worn open, the collar looks like a lapel. You can adjust the width using the tabs at the bottom of the sleeve.
Vita is produced with great care in small editions in a sewing factory in Bavaria.
Fit & size
The fit of Vita is intended to be loose. If you like it relaxed and want to wear a woolen jumper underneath, choose your normal size. If you prefer a slimmer fit, you can size down.
Outer material: 100% cotton.
Japanese selvedge raw denim by Kuroki. The material is woven on antique looms in 80 cm widths, creating the signature sought-after "selvedge," or closed selvedge. Over time and with wear, it develops a wonderful, individual patina.
Lining: 100% cotton.
The food Since experience has shown that the fabric is often the first to break, I've largely avoided it. The jacket is constructed so that the open finish also looks good on the inside. This requires the utmost precision in manufacturing.
Only for the yoke, the inside pocket and as a contrasting color on the sleeve tabs is an unbleached cotton twill used, IVN Best certified by the weaving mill Elmer und Zweifel.
Buttons: corozo
The buttons are made of natural corozo and are undyed. Therefore, the color may vary slightly. They are characterized by their fine grain.
The fruit of the corozo palm is also known as vegetable ivory. The corozo palm is native to South America and grows on the corozo palm in the low-lying rainforests of Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama.
Raw denim gets the most beautiful patina when it is washed as little as possible. If you do have to wash it, it is best to wash it inside out by hand with cold water and a gentle detergent. The washing machine can cause creases.
At temperatures above 30 degrees, the material may shrink by up to 3%. If you are using the jacket as a work jacket and want to wash it more often, order a size larger.
