Culotte Takeko
If samurais wore trousers, they would choose this culotte! With it´s A-shape, Takeko provides her wearer stability and a firm stance. 6 pockets offer plenty of space for everything you carry with you. This style is named after the female Samurai Takeko.
The sophisticated seam design creates a slim silhouette. Perfectly crafted, inside and out.
Takeko is made with great care in small editions in a manufactory in Bavaria.
I had a very specific material in mind for these trousers: a heavy new wool gabardine, like the kind used in uniforms. Finding such quality was a challenge, but I managed it! The Bavarian cloth factory Gebr. Mehler produces this beautiful worsted classic from 100% merino wool.
The fine zipper made of blackened metal is by Riri Mayer. It runs like butter.
Real horn buttons complete the whole thing.
Due to the self-cleaning effect of the new wool, it is sufficient to air the trousers overnight. Creases can be smoothed out with a light steam. Take them to the dry cleaners if necessary.
