Shirt Virginia soft brown
The shirt Virginia has a round shoulder yoke and raglan sleeves. The yoke is made in one piece and fits seamlessly around the shoulder, a subtle and special detail.
For freedom of movement there is a box pleat at the back. The cuffs are a little longer and can also be worn casually folded over. Buttons made of real mother of pearl give the design that little something extra.
Virginia is crafted with great care in small editions in a manufactory in Bavaria.
Did you know that cotton comes in brown, red and even green? When I first read about it, I was immediately fascinated. For this blouse, I used a soft cotton flannel from the Swabian weaving mill Elmer & Zweifel, which contains the colored cotton from Sally Fox from California. Sally Fox has been researching regenerative cultivation methods for years and grows various types of cotton in delicate shades of brown and green.
To match the cotton fabric, I chose natural brown mother-of-pearl buttons made from the Black Pen shell.
Wash on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees with plenty of water. Spin dry at a low speed and iron while damp.
